USCIS to Modernize Fee Payments with Electronic Funds

Starting now, USCIS will begin transitioning to electronic payments only. This means that to pay filing fees, you must have either a U.S. bank account or a credit/debit card.

Paper checks and money orders will no longer be accepted after October 28, 2025.

The only acceptable payments will be through bank account or by debit /credit card.

  • Please plan ahead and ensure you have an accepted payment method ready when you come to your appointment with San Luis Valley Immigrant Resource Center.

Note: be prepared with your own payment information, as our office will not be able to provide or lend bank account or card details to make payments.
